Sunday Has a Monday Problem

Saturday is great.

Sunday is great too. Until about 5 pm.

Suddenly, you’re thinking about Monday’s emails, meetings and that one colleague who says, “Happy Monday!” a little too happily.

You haven’t even finished your weekend, but your brain has already clocked in.

And here’s the strange thing. You might actually enjoy your job.

So why does Monday get to ruin Sunday?

I’ve been thinking about this. We spend so much time preparing for what’s next that sometimes we forget to enjoy what’s happening now.

Maybe we don’t need to plan every minute of the coming week.

Maybe Sunday can just be Sunday.

Monday can wait outside.

It doesn’t have a key.
